Kevin Ware will transfer from the University of Louisville to finish his college basketball career at another school.

"We wish Kevin Godspeed," Rick Pitino said.

Ware gained national attention last season after suffering a gruesome broken leg in the Elite Eight.

Ware averaged 1.7 points in nine games this season and sustained an injury to the same leg.

Ware hopes to transfer somewhere close to his family and is considering Auburn and Georgia State. He once committed to Bruce Pearl at Tennessee.

R.J. Hunter of Georgia State has been named the 2014 Sun Belt Player of the Year.

Hunter was joined on the All-Sun Belt First Team by Ryan Harrow, Reger Dowell, Shawn Long and Elfrid Payton.

On the All-Sun Belt Second Team are Manny Atkins, Will Neighbour, T.J. Price, Augustine Rubit and Kirk Van Slyke.

Payton was also named Defensive Player of the Year, while Chris Harrison-Docks received Freshman of the Year honors.
